Neu-Isenburg, Vienna, February 8, 2011 -- time:matters, the special service provider for global Special Speed Logistics which is part of the Lufthansa Group, has expanded its network of stations to include two additional European locations. The airports in both Belgrade (BEG) and Klagenfurt (KLU) have been incorporated into the time:matters transport network since February 1.

The logistics specialist’s customers also benefit from the expansion of the network, due to quicker and more frequent connections (road, air, rail) within Europe and to destinations outside Europe. This especially applies to the region of Carinthia, since time:matters is currently the only logistics service provider offering air cargo services from Klagenfurt. "Therefore we are now represented in the four key hubs in Austria: Vienna, Graz, Linz and Klagenfurt" says Steven Plenk, Country Manager time:matters Austria. "We can subsequently provide our customers in Austria with a very tightly-knit network, which translates into a time savings of for example two hours, when a direct delivery from Southern Austria to Graz can be avoided," explains Plenk. For example, urgent cargo reaches the airport in London within merely 6 hours, 35 minutes and shipments to Athens can already be delivered within 7 hours (both examples include handling times).

The addition of the Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG) in Belgrade provides logistical advantages particularly for the automotive industry that is strongly represented in Serbia. The transport time between Serbia and several cities in Central and Western Europe such as Frankfurt, Vienna and Munich, is subsequently reduced to just a few hours.
